UNIBEN Comrades Community Lauds FPD’s Philanthropic Gestures

The University of Benin Comrades Community (UCC) has commended the philanthropic gesture and public-spiritedness of renowned philanthropist and Bitcoin lord, Comrade Raymond Ikponmwosa, popularly known as FPD.

The group, in a statement made available to CAMPUS GIST, Wednesday, endorsed by the Secretary, Comrade Abraham Ogbeide applauded FPD’s support towards the comrades’ community.

UCC particularly lauded FPD’s “repeated” and “relentless demonstration of support” to comrades of the Community, especially through [his] philanthropic gestures over the years.

“Your continued support with kind, freewill donations and financial advice, is indicative of a strong sense of commitment to the community, brotherly love to our comrades, and humanitarian spirit at large.

“This is both enviable and commendable and we are glad to associate with you. May God continue to sustain you as we assure you of our love and best wishes,” UCC’s Comrade Abraham Ogbeide said.

The eulogy by the UNIBEN comrades comes barely 24 hours after chief FPD carried out a massive philanthropic giveaway in the comrades community online platform, on Tuesday.

This is not the first time Raymond would embark on philanthropic moves. Over the years, FPD has continued to spread that same smile through his Non-governmental Organization, the FPD Crypto Bank.

On giving, Comrade Raymond, in a recent online conversation monitored by CAMPUS GIST in January 2021, on the ‘Celebs in UNIBEN’ group chat, alluded giving to a ‘state of mind.’

“Being cheerful and generous is a state of mind. If you are a giver, no matter your account balance, you will always find something to give,” FPD said at the public discussion.

“Money isn’t the only thing I can give. I wasn’t born rich. I have been without money too. And in those times, I gave other things. Having money only helps you to improve on a habit you have already developed.”

FPD has continued to walk the talk, unlike others, he would rather give out his last resources to empower the people than keep it to himself. No wonder he earned himself the title, ‘FPD’: For the Peoples’ Development. For FPD, the people always come first.

“He is just a different breed”, says Chris Ben, a top follower of the Nigerian born philanthropist. The youngster has put millions of his own money into charity, the FPD Crypto Bank, where he has continued to touch hundreds of lives everyday.

FPD has, over the years, personally gave out free startups capital for investment and business minded persons alike, including soft and interest-free loans, donating food items and monies to orphanages and individuals during holidays including Yuletide seasons.

He currently devotes his time and energies towards managing the FPD Crypto Bank, championing and promoting causes in Education, Bitcoin investment, policy advocacy and poverty alleviation, among others.

FPD has been described as a man who has the knowledge, character, passion and the much needed integrity to lead from the front, even though most of his philanthropic gestures across the state don’t often get media attention.

The UNIBEN comrade who was once honoured for his philanthropic gestures and humanitarian activities pledged that he would never be tired of investing in and supporting the people, ‘to ensure that the society is rid of poverty’.

No fever than 50 persons recently benefitted from the usual random act of kindness of Chief Raymond FPD at the UNIBEN Ugbowo main campus, including select online platforms like the UCC.

On investment, the young philanthropist and Bitcoin lord who started investing into Bitcoin in 2017 regretted he would have bought more BTC in 2009, assuming he knew better, while advising young ones to key into Crypto investments.

“If I had the chance to start my career again, I would rewind back to 2009 and buy 1 million Bitcoins”, the Bitcoin lord once said at an online discussion monitored by CAMPUS GIST.

“I would have studied Crypto much earlier and invested [in] larger [amount]. We the young ones should take Crypto very serious, it is the future,” Chief Raymond FPD added.
